RE/SPEC Inc., a 100% employee-owned firm tackling complex challenges in sustainability and infrastructure, is seeking a Project Engineer, Project Geologist, or Environmental professional. You will provide critical engineering and inspection services for mine reclamation projects, with travel required for site investigations.
What You'll Do
- Provide engineering support services for mine reclamation projects.
- Conduct construction inspection and quality assurance/quality control services.
- Travel to perform investigations and inspections of abandoned mine features.
- Provide construction oversight, inspections, and all related documentation.
- Write construction specifications.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (civil, environmental, mining), geology, or environmental science.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in abandoned mine lands related work.
- At least 1 year of experience in construction management.
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro Software and other Esri products (field maps, ArcGIS Online).
- A solid understanding of landscape and grading construction.
- Experience with topographic surveying and mapping techniques.
- Ability to provide construction oversight, inspections, and related documentation.
- Capability in writing construction specifications.
- Ability to travel and perform investigation/inspections of abandoned mine features.
- Ability to operate All Terrain-Vehicles / Utility Terrain-Vehicles.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
- Excellent interpersonal and effective oral and written communication skills.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- The position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business travel.
Nice to Have
- Experience in AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD 3D software applications.
- Familiarity with Carlson Civil Suite and Natural Regrade software.
