About the Role

Black & Veatch is looking for a Resident Project Representative to act as the day-to-day on-site representative for our clients. You will safeguard the owner's interests by monitoring construction progress, safety, and quality assurance while serving as the primary liaison with the general contractor and other project stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in the Pre-Construction Conference.
  • Prepare a project communications plan and set guidelines for meetings and written communications.
  • Organize and conduct regular job progress status meetings, preparing and distributing agendas and conference notes.
  • Participate with GC personnel in QA/QC activities.
  • Review, certify, and file field testing reports such as water pipe pressure testing and concrete pre-pour documentation.
  • Monitor third-party testing to assure the correct number and types of tests are conducted.
  • Take and file daily photos of construction activity and progress.
  • Review the status of Building Permits, assure they are obtained, and verify permit close-out.
  • Review and certify GC Pay Applications, verifying earned value and resolving discrepancies.
  • Review and certify Change Orders and Potential Change Orders, evaluating validity and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist in processing and expediting Requests for Information.
  • Note and document construction issues and coordinate solutions with the GC, owner, and EOR.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years in a construction supervisory role with a degree, or 5+ years without a degree.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements if selected, which may include criminal/civil background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle records searches in compliance with applicable laws.

Nice to Have

  • BS in Civil Engineering with 10 years of experience.
  • At least 3 years of field experience related to construction.
  • OSHA 30-hour Training in Construction Safety and Health.
  • Experience working for a general contractor in a project engineer or construction management role.

Work Mode

This is an onsite position located in Oklahoma.
