Job Summary The Research Specialist coordinates projects, schedules, and reporting across organizational teams. This role ensures initiatives are strategically structured, progress-oriented, and aligned with key priorities. While not immediately supervising staff, the Project Management Team Lead helps establish consistent project management practices and potentially advance to supervising Project Managers as the team evolves. Responsibilities - Serve as primary coordination point for cross-team projects, ensuring strategic organizational alignment. - Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and tracking mechanisms. - Track progress and deliver regular leadership updates and comprehensive reports. - Collaborate intensively with all teams to synchronize efforts, resources, and communication channels. - Assist in developing project management resources, standardized templates, and standard operating procedures. - Manage meeting logistics and ensure comprehensive action item completion. - Contribute to organizational initiatives beyond core responsibilities, including event coordination and communication support. - Apply subject expertise and industry best practices to execute research-related tasks and independently support project design. - Address complex administrative challenges by designing innovative procedures, adapting existing methodologies, and making significant procedural contributions. - Direct data collection, evaluation, and analytical processes. Construct and manage databases. Prepare reports, scholarly articles, and research manuscripts. - Present research findings at professional conferences and funding agency meetings. Conduct extensive literature reviews. Establish and maintain productive interdisciplinary relationships. - Execute additional related responsibilities as required. Minimum Qualifications Education: Requires a bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant academic discipline. Work Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years professional experience in related field. Certifications: None specified.
