The Mass General Cancer Center Protocol Office (CCPO) pioneers advanced cancer therapy research through innovative clinical trials. Leukemia Research Nurses are critical in translating cutting-edge research into practical patient care. This role involves managing study protocols, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing comprehensive patient support throughout clinical trial experiences. Responsibilities include screening and enrolling trial participants, delivering patient education, providing triage support, managing symptoms, documenting protocol adherence, and advocating for patient needs. Candidates must possess two years of nursing experience, with oncology or research nursing background preferred. Work schedule consists of three ten-hour shifts Monday through Friday, 7am-5:30pm, with potential for one remote workday weekly. Research nurses collaborate closely with infusion nurses, advanced practice providers, and physicians to ensure protocol compliance and patient-centered care. The team is supported by nursing leadership committed to establishing care standards, initiating quality improvement projects, and maintaining exceptional patient experiences.
