About the Role

NielsenIQ is seeking a Research Analyst to join the Innovation team (BASES). In this role, you will act as a problem solver and the voice of NIQ, helping to modernize brands, discover new products, and build strategies for the world's biggest brands using best-in-class research and predictive analytical tools.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in pre-field project set up, including questionnaire preparation, sample composition, and database design.
  • Summarize data for the production of charts, graphs, and reports.
  • Analyze in-market data and study results.
  • Write draft reports and presentations.
  • Review data for errors and inconsistencies.
  • Prepare client correspondence.
  • Interact with client contacts on a routine basis.
  • Attend client meetings and presentations, occasionally in person and most often virtually.
  • Drive time and cost effectiveness on projects.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance to peers.

What We're Looking For

  • University degree in Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Marketing Research.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of statistics and marketing research techniques.
  • Strong Business English knowledge, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical mind and excellent numerical skills.
  • Good business and financial acumen.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of the key principles of forecasting.
  • Good communication and visualization skills, with an interest in storytelling techniques.
  • Comfortable working in a digital-enabled environment.
  • Ability to work within a virtual environment.

Nice to Have

  • Postgraduate or MBA degree.
