About the Role

This position supports the development, review, and management of clinical trial budgets, ensuring alignment with sponsor requirements, institutional policies, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze clinical trial budget proposals
  • Collaborate with research teams to gather financial and operational data
  • Ensure budget compliance with sponsor and institutional guidelines
  • Review contract terms related to financial obligations
  • Identify discrepancies in proposed trial costs
  • Coordinate with legal and finance departments on budget negotiations
  • Track budget revisions and amendments throughout trial lifecycle
  • Support audits by maintaining accurate financial documentation
  • Interpret funding agreements and grant specifications
  • Provide financial insights to project managers and principal investigators
  • Assist in forecasting trial-related expenses
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards
  • Standardize budget templates for consistency across studies
  • Train research staff on budget submission processes
  • Monitor timelines for budget approvals and reporting
  • Facilitate communication between sponsors and internal stakeholders
  • Document financial assumptions and cost justifications
  • Evaluate vendor quotes for integration into trial budgets
  • Ensure alignment between protocol requirements and financial plans
  • Support closeout procedures for completed clinical trials
  • Identify opportunities to improve budgeting workflows
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and research data
  • Adhere to institutional policies and federal regulations
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding trial budgets
