National General is seeking a Represented Moderate Bodily Injury Adjuster to handle automobile accident claims involving property damage and bodily injury where an attorney or litigation is involved. In this remote role, you will primarily investigate, evaluate, and negotiate settlements for claims in Nevada and Washington.
What You'll Do
- Investigate automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles resulting in property damage and/or bodily injury with attorney/litigation involved.
- Assess coverage, liability, and damages while providing exceptional customer service.
- Communicate with customers and attorneys via voice calls, email, and text messages.
- Utilize innovative platforms and tools to engage in negotiation processes to reach fair injury settlements.
- Act as the Customer Service Expert, living into Allstate's Claims Culture by caring, empowering, and restoring.
- Act as the Investigator, confidently and independently investigating casualty claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies.
- Act as the Effective Communicator, using phone, emails, and video chat to help customers through the claims process.
- Act as the Negotiator, evaluating and negotiating claims settlements with customers, vendors, third party carriers and claimants.
- Act as the Problem Solver, utilizing multiple tools in a fast-paced environment including estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms.
- Act as the Recorder, protecting the company financially by executing policies and keeping clear records in the claims system.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of Casualty Represented or Litigation third-party claim handling experience.
- Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone, to establish rapport and assess claims accurately.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, while managing time efficiently.
- Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate and negotiate injury claims successfully.
- Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for effective claims evaluation.
- As a condition of employment, may require obtaining an adjuster and/or an appraiser license within 60 days of hire.
Nice to Have
- Nevada and/or Washington Casualty Claim handling experience.
- Candidates in the Mountain and Pacific time zones.
- Candidates in the Central time zone will be considered.
- Active licenses needed for this role (e.g., Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License) for sign-on bonus eligibility.
