STERIS is hiring an entry-level Repair Technician to join our team in Ohio. In this role, you will perform basic to intermediate inspection and repairs on surgical instrumentation. No prior instrument repair experience is necessary, as we provide extensive hands-on training. You'll help STERIS fulfill its mission of creating a healthier and safer world through innovative healthcare solutions.

What You'll Do

Perform basic to intermediate inspection and repairs on surgical instrumentation using grinding wheels, buffing wheels, various hand and power tools, and soldering equipment.
Work in diverse settings based on Customer needs, including a mobile repair truck, a repair lab, or directly inside hospitals within your assigned territory.
Provide support to various locations within the territory, adapting to service agreements, staffing levels, and Customer requirements.
Frequently travel inside hospitals from the mobile truck, working in varying weather conditions.

What We're Looking For

A High School Diploma or GED.
2+ years of total work experience, with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or 1 year of experience at STERIS. All experience must be verifiable.
Ability to pass a DOT medical/physical exam and comply with all DOT regulations.
Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (CDL not required), and maintain required vaccines.
Ability to drive a DOT-regulated vehicle and conduct basic box truck safety checks.
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs and push instrument carts ranging from 10-150lbs.
Ability to comply with hospital and customer credentialing requirements.
