STERIS is looking for a Repair Technician to perform vital work inspecting and repairing surgical instruments. This is an entry-level role with extensive hands-on training provided. You will work from a mobile repair truck and travel daily within an assigned territory to support hospital and Customer needs.
What You'll Do
- Perform basic to intermediate inspection and repairs on surgical instrumentation using grinding wheels, buffing wheels, various hand and power tools, and soldering equipment.
- Work in the field on a mobile repair truck, inside a repair lab, or inside a hospital based on Customer needs.
- Provide support to various locations within your assigned territory depending on service agreements, Customer needs, and staffing levels.
- Frequently travel inside hospitals from the mobile truck, working in varying weather conditions.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of general work experience, including at least 1 year of relevant experience, or 1 year of experience at STERIS.
- Ability to pass a DOT medical/physical exam and comply with all DOT regulations.
- Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, and maintain required vaccines.
- Ability to drive a DOT-regulated vehicle and conduct basic box truck safety checks.
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs and push instrument carts ranging from 10-150lbs.
- Ability to comply with hospital/customer credentialing requirements.

Work Mode
This is an onsite role requiring daily travel within an assigned territory. Work is performed primarily from a mobile repair truck and at various Customer locations.
