About the Role

Systems & Software (S&S), a division of Harris Computer Systems, seeks a Vice President, Sales to maximize revenues for our Cayenta utility software. In this remote role, you will lead the sales department, develop go-to-market strategies, and drive new business growth.

What You'll Do

  • Accountable for all activities of the Sales department, ensuring accurate forecasting of monthly bookings and costs.
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal company functions to aid business development.
  • Generate new business and foster relationships with current clients, prospects, and consultants.
  • Ensure sales metrics are met or exceeded, including P&L responsibilities with monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast predictability.
  • Establish competitive strategies and targeted sales campaigns, including sales of emerging products and services.
  • Drive proactive sales strategy by identifying opportunities earlier in the buying cycle beyond reactive RFP responses.
  • Develop quota and commission plans for the team and cross-sell other Harris business units.
  • Manage the performance and development of all sales professionals within the group.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise software sales and/or in the Utilities Industry.
  • Experience growing and managing a team of sales members.
  • Comfortable presenting software in front of executives, supervisors, and end users.
  • Effective leadership skills to include decision-making, presentation, and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.

Nice to Have

  • Utilities industry experience.
  • Proven ability to manage the financial aspects of a team, including OPEX and P&L.
  • Ability to manage multiple, diverse projects and sales events simultaneously.
  • Ability to drive significant outcomes through efficient use of limited resources.

Work Mode

This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in Canada or the United States.
