Ortus Health is looking for a Remote Telephone GP to provide high-quality, remote clinical services to GP practices across the UK. In this role, you will make clinical decisions that directly influence patient outcomes by reviewing patient contacts across multiple practices, supported by a team dedicated to improving access and reducing pressure in general practice.
What You'll Do
- Complete telephone appointments efficiently and effectively.
- Issue prescriptions, fit notes, referrals, and provide safety-netting advice.
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases appropriately.
- Adapt to different clinical systems and local processes across practices.
- Accurately document consultations in line with GMC and practice standards.
- Audit the work of the wider team, including other GPs, pharmacists, and care coordinators.
What We're Looking For
- Full GMC registration with a license to practise.
- NHS England GP Performers List inclusion.
- Proven experience with remote consultations.
- Ability to manage clinical risk safely in a remote environment.
- Commitment to complete at least 10 appointments per day if offered.
- Familiarity with GP clinical systems like EMIS, SystmOne, Accurx, Patchs, or eConsult.
- Excellent time management and meticulous attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- At least 2 years post-CCT experience.
