About the Role
The Senior Accountant will manage key accounting functions for the technology division, working remotely on a UK shift schedule. This role involves maintaining financial records, supporting audits, and improving accounting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end close procedures for technology-related accounts
- Reconcile general ledger accounts with supporting documentation
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and performance metrics
- Support internal and external audit requests with timely documentation
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial discrepancies
- Maintain fixed asset records and track depreciation schedules
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities for technology units
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting workflows
- Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and policy adherence
- Prepare journal entries and adjust records as needed
- Manage intercompany accounting activities
- Track and report on technology project spending
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions
- Ensure proper documentation for all accounting activities
- Respond to financial inquiries from management and stakeholders
- Support system implementations and process automation initiatives
- Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting
- Stay current with changes in accounting regulations
- Coordinate with global teams across different time zones
- Assist with tax preparation documentation
- Track vendor invoices and ensure timely processing
- Review expense reports for compliance with company policies
- Participate in financial training and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Contribute to special projects as assigned by leadership
