About the Role

This role involves conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing medication management for patients via telehealth. The psychiatrist will work independently while collaborating with a care team to ensure comprehensive patient support.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments through virtual visits
  • Diagnose and treat mental health conditions using evidence-based practices
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
  • Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
  • Collaborate with therapists and care coordinators
  • Respond to patient messages within established timeframes
  • Adhere to clinical protocols and regulatory standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Support patients during psychiatric crises
  • Coordinate care with primary providers when necessary
  • Conduct medication reconciliation during visits
  • Provide documentation that meets billing and compliance requirements
  • Engage in peer review and clinical supervision activities
  • Stay current with psychiatric best practices and guidelines
  • Address patient no-shows and scheduling challenges
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Use telehealth platform efficiently for all appointments
  • Complete prior authorizations for medications when required
  • Support patient transitions between levels of care
  • Respond to urgent clinical issues within defined response times
  • Conduct risk assessments for suicide and self-harm
  • Provide psychoeducation to patients and families
  • Assist in onboarding new clinical team members
