About the Role
This role involves delivering psychiatric care to patients via telehealth, including conducting assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, and managing medication treatment plans. The psychiatrist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient support and follow evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations remotely
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
- Develop and adjust medication management plans
- Monitor patient progress through follow-up appointments
- Collaborate with therapists and care coordinators
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and standards
- Respond to patient messages within established timelines
- Participate in team case reviews
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans
- Coordinate care with external providers as needed
- Adhere to state and federal regulatory requirements
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives
- Support patient onboarding and intake processes
