About the Role

This role involves delivering high-quality psychiatric care through virtual platforms, conducting evaluations, managing medication, and creating individualized treatment plans for patients. Practitioners collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments via telehealth
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
  • Document clinical interactions in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with care coordinators and other clinicians
  • Respond to patient messages within established timeframes
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in team meetings and case reviews
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge and licensure
  • Support continuity of care across treatment episodes
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and ethical standards
  • Assist in onboarding and mentoring new clinical staff
  • Address patient crises through timely clinical intervention
  • Coordinate with external healthcare providers when necessary
  • Conduct follow-up appointments to track outcomes
  • Provide psychoeducation to patients and families
  • Adhere to documentation and billing standards
  • Contribute to clinical policy development
  • Respond to peer reviews and performance feedback
  • Utilize clinical decision support tools
  • Promote patient engagement and retention
  • Support after-hours coverage as scheduled
  • Maintain board certification as required

Nice to Have

  • Three or more years of psychiatric practice
  • Experience in outpatient mental health settings
  • Leadership or preceptor experience
  • Advanced training in trauma-informed care
  • Familiarity with integrated care models
  • Experience with severe and persistent mental illness
  • Proficiency in multiple telehealth systems
  • Prior work in team-based clinical environments
  • Active involvement in professional organizations
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity in healthcare
