About the Role
This role involves delivering high-quality psychiatric care through virtual platforms, conducting evaluations, managing medication, and creating individualized treatment plans for patients. Practitioners collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments via telehealth
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
- Document clinical interactions in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with care coordinators and other clinicians
- Respond to patient messages within established timeframes
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Maintain current clinical knowledge and licensure
- Support continuity of care across treatment episodes
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives
- Uphold patient confidentiality and ethical standards
- Assist in onboarding and mentoring new clinical staff
- Address patient crises through timely clinical intervention
- Coordinate with external healthcare providers when necessary
- Conduct follow-up appointments to track outcomes
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and families
- Adhere to documentation and billing standards
- Contribute to clinical policy development
- Respond to peer reviews and performance feedback
- Utilize clinical decision support tools
- Promote patient engagement and retention
- Support after-hours coverage as scheduled
- Maintain board certification as required
Nice to Have
- Three or more years of psychiatric practice
- Experience in outpatient mental health settings
- Leadership or preceptor experience
- Advanced training in trauma-informed care
