Provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric services entirely remotely to patients with lower to moderate acuity conditions. You'll conduct in-depth evaluations, formulate individualized treatment plans, and manage medication as part of a structured telepsychiatry model designed to prioritize clinical judgment over volume.
What You'll Do
- Deliver full-scope psychiatric care through secure virtual platforms
- Perform diagnostic assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations
- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications with attention to safety and efficacy
- Integrate psychoeducation and supportive therapy into treatment
- Document all patient interactions in the electronic medical record system efficiently and accurately
- Coordinate care with in-house psychiatrists and therapists through a seamless referral network
- Maintain consistent clinical decision-making without pressure to reduce session length or increase caseload
Requirements
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Unrestricted license in New York with full practice authority
- At least four years of post-graduate clinical experience as a PMHNP
- Proven experience in outpatient mental health settings
- Expertise in psychiatric assessment, treatment planning, and medication management
- Proficiency with electronic medical records for documentation and care coordination
- Ability to work independently within a collaborative care framework
