About the Role
This role involves delivering psychiatric evaluation and treatment to patients via telehealth, focusing on diagnosing and managing mental health conditions with an emphasis on medication management and therapy coordination.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations through virtual consultations
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders in adults and adolescents
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
- Monitor patient progress through scheduled follow-ups
- Collaborate with care coordinators to support patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate electronic health records
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary
- Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Support continuity of care across treatment episodes
- Respond to patient messages within established timeframes
- Adhere to clinical protocols and best practices
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Stay current with advancements in psychiatric care
- Uphold patient confidentiality and ethical standards
- Assist in onboarding new clinical team members
- Contribute to development of clinical guidelines
- Address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Coordinate with external providers when needed
