ACS Auto Club Services, Inc. is looking for a Remote Processing Associate to handle the accurate processing of documents for membership, travel, and insurance accounts. You will be part of an organization serving over 14 million members across multiple states, committed to leveraging technology and a skilled workforce to deliver quality service.
What You'll Do
- Process a variety of documents to issue or endorse membership, travel, and insurance accounts or process reimbursement requests.
- Gather and review data for accuracy and completeness.
- Correspond with and respond to inquiries from sales representatives, members, and other stakeholders regarding payments, billing, and account information.
- Receive, process, and balance cash payments, entering transactions into systems.
- Research and adjust account balances for misapplications or overpayments.
- Process returned bank items and correct premium payment records.
- Contact district offices or agents to resolve cash receipt discrepancies.
- Initiate correspondence to policyholders or contractors to clarify information or communicate decisions.
- Maintain customer account records, analyze data, and prepare required reports.
- Follow established electronic and manual procedures and assist in report development.
- Train less senior staff members in departmental procedures.
- Rotate within different areas to perform various processing, cashiering, or training functions.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience processing transactions and posting to appropriate accounts.
- Experience investigating and resolving complex processing problems.
- Experience performing mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Ability to perform data entry duties and accurately maintain a 6,000 keystroke per hour data entry rate.
- Knowledge of systems inquiry, data entry, and usage of terminal or personal computer.
- Knowledge of basic business grammar and spelling.
- Knowledge of business processing procedures.
- Ability to work within time, productivity, and quality constraints.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, including accurately logging, coding, and verifying information.
- Ability to audit records and computer files.
- Ability to gather data and prepare reports.
- Ability to compose routine correspondence including letters and memos.
- Ability to use telephone regularly to receive and relay information.
- Ability to operate an adding machine or calculator.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others in a work environment and with the public.
- Willingness to rotate within areas as needed to perform various processing or cashiering functions and/or to complete training.
Nice to Have
- Ability to perform monetary transactions (e.g., key entering data into cash terminal, adjusting account balances, etc.).
- Knowledge of basic insurance terminology.
- Ability to make discretionary decisions based on existing policy.
- Ability to use telephone extensively.
- Willingness and ability to work extended or irregular hours, holidays and/or weekends.
Team & Environment
This role has no supervisory responsibilities. You will work within a team structure focused on accurate processing and member service.
