Immerse is looking for a Part-Time English Instructor to teach communicative, task-based lessons in virtual reality. You will guide adult learners in small-group sessions set in realistic environments to practice language in authentic contexts. This role is part of a team pioneering VR + AI-powered language teaching.
What You'll Do
- Teach live English lessons in VR through the desktop platform.
- Prepare for classes using provided lesson plans and contribute feedback to improve sessions.
- Complete quick post-class reports and flag any classroom or tech issues.
- Join team trainings and meetings to stay aligned with teaching practices.
What We're Looking For
- A BA in TESOL or a related field.
- 2+ years of ESL/EFL teaching experience, with online preferred.
- Skilled in communicative and task-based teaching methods.
- Confident with digital tools and eager to learn new technology.
- C1 English proficiency (CEFR) or Advanced (ACTFL) equivalent.
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Based in North or South America due to server connectivity requirements.
- Not a resident of California, Oregon, Massachusetts, or New Hampshire.
Nice to Have
- Speak Spanish or Portuguese at a high level and/or have experience teaching those languages.
- Have experience teaching business or professional English learners.

Benefits & Compensation

- Pay range: $18–$25 USD per hour, depending on experience and region.
Work Mode
