About the Role
The operator will be responsible for overseeing the real-time performance of wind and solar facilities, identifying issues, initiating responses, and maintaining accurate records to support reliable operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor performance of renewable energy facilities using SCADA and related systems
- Detect and respond to operational anomalies and equipment faults
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to address field issues
- Escalate critical incidents according to established protocols
- Maintain accurate logs and records of system events
- Support startup and commissioning activities for new sites
- Perform routine system checks and verify data integrity
- Assist in developing and updating operational procedures
- Respond to alarms and initiate predefined corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Communicate with third-party operators and asset managers
- Track and report on facility availability and downtime
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support
- Conduct post-event reviews and contribute to root cause analysis
- Support cybersecurity protocols for operational technology systems
