Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is seeking a Remote Non-Profit Accountant to provide expert financial support to a portfolio of non-profit clients. This is a fully remote, part-time role where you'll leverage your accounting expertise in a flexible environment free from tax season workloads and commuting.
What You'll Do
- Deliver exceptional accounting and operational support to non-profit clients using cloud-based platforms.
- Manage client onboarding and ensure seamless adoption of systems and processes.
- Perform full-cycle accounting including AP/AR management, journal entries, month-end close, and financial reporting.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients and team members to ensure satisfaction and transparency.
- Identify process improvements and recommend additional services to increase client value.
- Engage in regular video check-ins with your team and manager to align goals and collaborate effectively.
- Embrace and adopt new technologies to solve client issues efficiently in a virtual setting.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in the non-profit sector.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or NetSuite with at least 1 year of transactional accounting experience using these platforms.
- Availability to work during standard business hours in EST, CST, MST, or PST time zones.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships remotely.
- Tech-savvy and open to coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement.
- High level of discretion and commitment to client confidentiality.
