As a Remote Inventory Assistant, you’ll ensure hospitals maintain reliable access to essential supplies by managing inventory across assigned sites. You'll conduct regular stock audits on wards, verify deliveries upon arrival, and distribute products efficiently to support uninterrupted patient care.
What You'll Do
- Perform accurate inventory checks and record stock levels within hospital wards.
- Inspect incoming orders thoroughly and deliver them to appropriate departments.
- Keep storage areas organized, group supplies logically, and identify expired items for removal or replacement.
- Serve as the primary contact for on-site customer inquiries, relaying key information to internal teams.
- Monitor product expiry dates, maintain records, and take action to resolve any issues.
- Assess storage needs and recommend improvements to optimize space and accessibility.
- Support service reviews by gathering data and contributing insights from field observations.
- Complete required training modules on time and maintain compliance with company procedures.
- Report site issues promptly and ensure all proof of delivery documents are signed accurately.
- Return company equipment and pallets to the National Distribution Center as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in warehouse operations or a healthcare environment.
- Proven ability to meet performance targets and manage tasks independently.
- Confidence in long-distance driving with a valid UK driving license.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to engage professionally with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with Lean principles and basic knowledge of CQC standards in clinical settings.
- Ability to handle manual tasks safely and complete a full DBS check.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, Monday to Friday, with occasional schedule adjustments as needed.
