World Business Lenders is hiring a Remote Finance Internal Audit Team Lead to build and guide our audit function. In this role, you will lead the development and execution of risk-based audit plans, ensuring comprehensive coverage of financial, operational, and compliance activities. You will be responsible for the quality of the audit process and reporting key insights directly to senior leadership.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a remote audit team, fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Conduct risk assessments across finance, HR, administrative, and loan operations to establish audit priorities.
- Develop and execute risk-based audit plans aligned with GAAP, IIA standards, and the COSO framework.
- Oversee audits covering financial statements, HR processes, administrative operations, and loan operations, ensuring timely delivery.
- Incorporate audit technology and data analytics to improve efficiency and depth of insight.
- Review and approve audit workpapers, document findings, identify control deficiencies, and recommend improvements.
- Present audit results to management, collaborate on remediation plans, and track corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with professional accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal control frameworks.
- Manage audit resources, team workload, and timelines to meet objectives.
- Provide structured internal audit reporting to senior leadership on findings, remediation progress, and control effectiveness.
- Support other initiatives such as enterprise risk management, fraud assessments, compliance projects, or special assignments.
- Continuously improve audit processes, methodologies, and team performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Admin, and Compliance teams.
- Support team professional development, including certifications like CIA and CPA.
- Provide flexibility to handle urgent audit tasks, escalations, or emerging risks.
- Carry out other special duties and projects as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- 100% fluency in English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in an Internal Audit role.
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role within an audit or assurance function.
- Must hold a valid CPA designation.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, proactive approach, and strong work ethic.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in banking, finance, or credit/loan operations.
- CIA designation.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $1700 - $2400 per month, based on location.
