Baptist Health is hiring a Remote Clinical Pharmacist Specialist - Neurology and Psychology

About the Role

The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist will deliver evidence-based pharmacotherapy services to patients with neurological and psychological disorders. This position supports treatment decision-making, monitors medication efficacy and safety, and collaborates with care teams to improve patient outcomes in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive medication reviews for patients with neurological conditions
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to adjust pharmacotherapy regimens
  • Monitor patient response to psychotropic and neurologic medications
  • Provide clinical recommendations based on patient-specific data
  • Document patient interactions and clinical decisions in electronic health records
  • Educate patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence strategies
  • Identify and resolve drug-related problems
  • Participate in virtual care team meetings and case discussions
  • Stay current with clinical guidelines in neurology and psychiatry
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Support transitions of care through medication reconciliation
  • Assist in developing clinical protocols for medication management
  • Respond to drug information inquiries from providers and patients
  • Evaluate medication safety and effectiveness across patient populations
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives in pharmacy services

Nice to Have

  • Board certification in psychiatric pharmacy (BCPP)
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary clinic setting
  • Training in neuropharmacology
  • Prior work in a remote clinical role
  • Involvement in clinical research or publications

Licensure and Certification

  • Must possess a valid pharmacy license in any U.S. state
  • License must be maintained in active status without restrictions
