Optum Tech (UnitedHealth Group) is hiring a Release Train Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Agile Release Train, monitoring performance, spotting risks early, and implementing solutions to enhance delivery results
  • Guide the achievement of Program Increment goals by applying data insights and proactive leadership to maintain progress
  • Organize, lead, and contribute to key Agile ceremonies such as PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Syncs, Sprint Reviews, and System Demos
  • Support and develop Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile teams to improve their Agile execution and overcome complex delivery issues
  • Detect, track, and resolve blockers and inter-team dependencies, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and leadership when necessary
  • Promote visibility through performance metrics like sprint and PI progress, quality indicators, Time to Build and Time to Value, and other key ART indicators
  • Manage release planning efforts and ensure consistent, aligned communication across teams, stakeholders, and external partners
  • Encourage teamwork and alignment among ART teams, promoting ongoing improvement, innovation, and a sense of responsibility
  • Act as the primary Agile expert for the ART, applying SAFe frameworks and Agile methodologies to enhance flow, quality, and team effectiveness
  • Ensure proper use of Agile project management tools like Rally, and produce reliable reports, dashboards, and analytical insights
  • Utilize approved enterprise AI tools to automate processes, simplify workflows, and support continuous delivery enhancements

Compensation

The salary for this role ranges from $91,700 to $163,700 per year for full-time work.
