About the Role

As a Relationship Manager in Southampton, you will lead a portfolio of small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) clients, focusing on building lasting, trust-based relationships. Your primary responsibility will be understanding each client’s unique business objectives and financial requirements, then guiding them toward appropriate banking and lending solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of SME customers by identifying opportunities to support their growth through Allica Bank’s products and services.
  • Originate and structure lending proposals, from initial inquiry to final approval, including preparing detailed credit applications aligned with internal policies.
  • Drive local business development by contributing to regional targets and actively managing personal performance goals.
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of service to clients, prospects, and professional advisors, enhancing the bank’s reputation in the local market.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth, professional client experience across all touchpoints.
  • Demonstrate strong adherence to compliance standards, operational procedures, and risk management protocols.
  • Support and reflect the organization’s core values, contributing positively to workplace culture and team morale.

Qualifications and Experience

You should bring a proven background in SME banking, with particular expertise in commercial lending and financial analysis. The ideal candidate has a history of delivering exceptional client service, developing referral networks, and generating new business while maintaining sound credit discipline.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential, along with a self-motivated approach and entrepreneurial mindset. You must be skilled in reviewing financial statements, structuring lending solutions, and working effectively with both clients and internal stakeholders.
