Overview:
We're looking for a customer-focused professional who'll be the heartbeat of our branch — identifying needs, solving problems, and creating seamless banking experiences. You'll be our go-to person for connecting with customers, understanding their financial goals, and providing smart, personalized solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive relationship management by conducting customer assessments, identifying sales opportunities, opening accounts, and conducting strategic outreach calls
- Conduct targeted research on customer profiles to uncover potential value-add banking opportunities and align discussions with their financial objectives
- Diagnose customer financial needs and present tailored product/service options through collaborative internal partnerships
- Proactively engage clients via email and phone to introduce value-added products that address their specific requirements
- Seamlessly onboard new customers across all available channels
- Build trust with existing clients through consistent, meaningful outreach
- Schedule and prepare for weekly appointments with precision and professionalism
- Develop comprehensive pre-call plans to optimize sales interactions
- Perform customer service interactions with exceptional care
- Strictly adhere to compliance and operational risk controls
- Embody M&T Bank's brand values and create an inclusive environment
- Maintain rigorous internal control standards and promptly address audit recommendations
- Flexibly manage additional assigned responsibilities
- Maintain federal SAFE Act registration requirements
Scope of Responsibilities:
As the branch's sales and service focal point, you'll drive customer engagement, identify growth opportunities, and ensure smooth operational flow. This role requires staying current on product innovations, operational changes, and proactively managing risk to minimize potential losses.
Education and Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with: • Minimum 2 years in retail sales, call center, customer service, or telesales OR • Minimum 1 year in proactive sales experience
