What You'll Do
In this role, you’ll help people rebuild their lives after injury or illness by identifying their unique rehabilitation needs and working alongside them to create custom recovery strategies. You’ll conduct assessments—covering physical, functional, and psychosocial aspects—and develop plans that align with each individual’s goals.
You’ll manage cases from start to finish, maintaining clear communication with clients, healthcare professionals, employers, and insurers. Your expertise will inform recommendations on workplace adjustments, functional capacity, and safe return-to-work pathways. By fostering collaboration among all parties, you’ll help create consistent, lasting progress.
Requirements
You’ll need a tertiary qualification in Psychology (provisional registration accepted), Social Work, or Rehabilitation Counselling, along with current registration through AHPRA, AASW, or ASORC. A valid Working with Children Check and a national criminal history clearance are required before starting. You must hold full Australian work rights and a driver’s licence, as the role involves travel to workplaces, homes, and remote sites.
Success in this role depends on strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to adapt to diverse client needs. A collaborative approach, sound clinical judgment, and a commitment to ethical, person-focused care are essential.
