What You'll Do
Oversee daily execution of CASS 7 and CASS 15 obligations, ensuring adherence to client asset safeguarding rules and MiFID requirements. Conduct internal and external reconciliations, verifying calculations and maintaining data integrity across regulatory frameworks. Prepare and submit regulatory returns for Payment Institutions, E-Money entities, and MiFID-regulated divisions, including filings to the FCA and Gibraltar Financial Services Commission.
Develop, document, and refine regulatory procedures to support audit readiness and compliance. Lead monthly CASS and safeguarding working group meetings, and deliver regular updates to senior leadership, including ExCo. Support audits by preparing disclosures and policy documentation, and assist in implementing control enhancements across reporting functions.
Drive improvements in regulatory workflows by identifying automation opportunities and streamlining reconciliation processes. Contribute to regulatory change projects, finance transformation initiatives, and cross-functional deliverables. Provide insight into how new business activities may affect regulatory obligations and financial reporting outcomes.
Requirements
You are a qualified accountant with at least three years of post-qualification experience, ideally within regulatory reporting, product control, or financial compliance in a fintech, investment bank, or financial services setting. Experience with CASS rules, safeguarding regimes, and regulatory returns for investment firms or payment institutions is essential.
Proficiency in Excel—including advanced formulas, data manipulation, and quality assurance—is required. You bring strong analytical abilities, precision in execution, and a proactive mindset. You communicate clearly with stakeholders across finance, compliance, and operations, and remain effective under tight deadlines.
Experience in a multi-jurisdictional reporting environment and familiarity with FCA and GFSC requirements are advantageous. You are adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and knowledge sharing.
