Role Overview
We are looking for a Regulatory Counsel to support our operations in Greece, focusing on legal frameworks governing crypto-asset services and financial regulation. This role is central to ensuring compliance with evolving EU and national laws, particularly under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. You will provide actionable legal guidance on licensing, product development, and regulatory engagement, while representing the company in formal proceedings when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise internal teams on regulatory scope, compliance obligations, and risk mitigation related to crypto-asset and financial services in Greece and the EU.
- Lead assessments for product launches and marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with MiCA and local regulatory expectations.
- Draft and review contractual terms and disclosures to meet legal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Greek and EU financial regulations, anticipating changes and advising proactively.
- Identify, evaluate, and address legal risks with practical, forward-looking solutions.
- Represent the company before Greek regulatory bodies and in court proceedings as needed.
- Coordinate with global legal colleagues across time zones to deliver consistent, scalable legal support.
- Manage external legal counsel and oversee related budgets and contracts.
Qualifications
You must be admitted to the Greek Bar and have 5–10 years of post-qualification experience. A degree from a leading university is required, with preference given to candidates holding a Master’s in Financial, Technology, or Regulatory Law.
Essential qualities include strong project and time management skills, the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment, and experience working across diverse, global teams.

- Professional exposure to crypto, blockchain, or FinTech sectors.
- Direct engagement with Greek financial regulators and familiarity with local compliance frameworks.
