This role is responsible for managing IT initiatives driven by regulatory mandates and providing oversight for capital projects within the enterprise business solutions portfolio. The IT Regulatory Supervisor ensures alignment between technical capabilities and regulatory expectations, serving as a key liaison between IT, business units, and external regulatory entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead workshops and stakeholder sessions to identify, clarify, and document business and system requirements
- Translate technical project details into clear, non-technical language for regulatory filings and external reporting
- Develop and maintain high-level and detailed requirements documentation using standardized templates
- Support the creation of estimation models for project costs and schedules in alignment with regulatory timelines
- Track and report on the status of regulatory-driven IT efforts across multiple initiatives
- Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory Affairs, and Customer Service teams to prepare formal responses submitted to regulatory bodies
- Work closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) and business partners to ensure capital projects meet compliance and operational standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum of five years in a Business Analyst or project management role within a regulated utility environment
- Familiarity with customer service operations including billing, service initiation, credit, and collections
- Knowledge of state and federal energy regulations and compliance frameworks
- Proven ability to conduct interviews, facilitate meetings, and model requirements for system design and testing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts
- Experience with project estimation, scheduling, and software development life cycles
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Comfortable engaging with executives, legal teams, and regulatory personnel on complex utility matters
Work Environment & Benefits
This position operates under a hybrid work model, requiring at least three days per week in the office—including Tuesdays and Wednesdays—with flexibility to adjust the third in-office day based on team needs. Occasional emergency restoration duties may be required.
