AdventHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse Med Surg Oncology to join our team in OCALA, Florida. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care for oncology patients within a medical-surgical setting. What You'll Do

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments evaluating physiological, psychological, and lifestyle factors.
Develop, implement, and regularly revise individualized care plans based on patient needs.
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, monitoring for adverse reactions.
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient medical record.
Continuously evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust interventions to improve outcomes.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulations.
Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
Supervise and delegate care provided by members of the healthcare team.
Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
Respond promptly and effectively to code situations to stabilize patients.

What We're Looking For

Associate's of Nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
Ability to work as a team player within a unit
Effective verbal, oral communication, and problem-solving skills
Fluency in English (read, verbal, and written skills)
Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate Microsoft Windows-based programs
Ability to use a high level of abstract reasoning for patient assessment and care plan revision

Nice to Have

Bachelor's of Nursing
EKG certification (based on patient population)
