GDIT is hiring a Functional Analyst / Trainer

Role Overview

This position supports software system analysis, training development, and stakeholder collaboration within an agile framework. You will play a key role in defining system requirements, designing training content, and ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver training materials, including slide decks and instructional content, for software applications, with experience in virtual classroom delivery preferred
  • Work directly with customers to identify system needs and translate them into clear functional requirements
  • Develop detailed use cases that reflect user roles and job-specific functions
  • Apply domain knowledge to provide context during problem-solving and solution design sessions
  • Facilitate communication between customer teams and developers to support effective technical discussions
  • Conduct research on new topics and coordinate with subject matter experts to prepare for meetings and planning sessions
  • Participate in Scrum events such as daily stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives
  • Maintain Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation, including Incident Response Plans, Configuration Management Plans, and Access Control Plans
  • Ensure compliance controls are current and aligned with Department of Defense (DoD) standards
  • Maintain required certifications such as Security+ and meet Common Computing Environment (CCE) requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science
  • Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Security+ or GSEC certification (or equivalent) as required by DoD 8140
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering training in an online or virtual classroom environment

Work Environment

This role supports remote work with flexible scheduling where feasible. You must be able to work across time zones and collaborate effectively in a distributed team setting.
