Provide specialized nursing care in acute hospital environments for patients with end-stage renal disease and chronic kidney conditions. As a Registered Nurse, you’ll deliver essential dialysis treatments—including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and apheresis—across multiple medical units such as ICU, CCU, and emergency departments in Illinois hospitals.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor dialysis therapies tailored to patient needs
- Adjust treatment plans based on real-time patient assessments
- Work alongside hospital staff and clinical support teams to ensure continuity of care
- Supervise and coordinate with patient care technicians to maintain high standards of safety and service
- Respond effectively to changing patient conditions in fast-paced settings
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required. An Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is mandatory, while a BSN is preferred. Candidates must pass a color vision screening, with accommodations available as needed. Certification in Nephrology Nursing (CNN/CDN) is valued but not required. Experience in critical care, emergency, or medical-surgical units is beneficial.
Work Environment
This is an onsite role with assignments across hospitals in Evanston, Skokie, Highland Park, and Glenview, IL. Schedules include rotating shifts, on-call duties, weekends, and holidays. Daily assignments may shift based on patient volume and treatment demands.
