Mass General Brigham Community Physicians, Inc. / The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the Klarman Eating Disorder Unit full time. In this role, you will be responsible for providing immediate and long-term nursing care needs of patients using the nursing process, working within the standards of the department, hospital, and regulatory agencies.
What You'll Do
- Accurately assess patient needs using multiple data sources and a Recovery Oriented Framework.
- Perform point of care testing and communicate findings effectively to the healthcare team.
- Plan and modify nursing interventions, participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning, and prioritize patient care needs.
- Establish therapeutic alliances, administer medications safely using BMV scanning, review physician orders, and promote least-restrictive, recovery-oriented interventions.
- Lead patient groups and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care interventions.
- Provide leadership in organizing patient care, supervise MHSs, delegate care, and lead in medical/psychiatric emergencies.
- Provide health teaching to patients and significant others related to needs and recovery goals.
- Maintain a commitment to professional growth, complete mandatory training, and seek feedback.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication and maintain patient privacy.
- Contribute to productivity and cost-effectiveness through time management and economical use of resources.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) State License.
- MR safety certification.
- Standard blood draw procedures (excluding IV placement).
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for using electronic systems for communication, clinical, and administrative purposes.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Diploma/Certificate required, Bachelor's preferred).
- One year of medical/psychiatric experience (0-1 year preferred).
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $32.78 - $68.33 per hour.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at 115 Mill Street.
