A Registered Nurse is sought to provide consistent, high-quality care in evolving healthcare environments throughout West Virginia. This temporary position operates on an as-needed basis, with shifts scheduled across mornings, evenings, and overnight hours. Nurses will be contacted according to demand and must be prepared to work at any of the designated sites.
Responsibilities
- Support healthcare providers during clinical procedures within the boundaries of nursing licensure.
- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, presenting concerns, medical background, and medication tracking.
- Develop measurable care goals using NANDA standards and update records accordingly.
- Monitor patient status and promptly communicate any changes to supervising medical staff.
- Perform essential care tasks such as catheter insertion, specimen collection, EKGs, vision testing, wound management, dressing changes, and IV medication administration.
- Assist individuals with daily living activities when necessary.
- Educate patients to support informed health choices and self-care practices.
- Track supply levels, anticipate needs, and replenish clinical areas after restocking.
- Train across multiple departments, including outpatient clinics, emergency departments, and inpatient units.
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations based on operational demands.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by clinical supervisors.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse licensure required.
- Availability to work all shift types: morning, evening, and overnight.
- Willingness to travel to and work at any of the six designated locations in West Virginia.
Additional Information
Selected nurses will be placed in a talent pool and contacted when staffing needs arise. This role does not include reimbursement for travel expenses. Compensation is commensurate with experience and based on assignment duration.
