Alpaca is looking for a Registered Brokerage Client Service Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary contact for clients and broker partners, handling service needs and operational processes to support our mission of opening financial services to everyone on the planet. You will work within a globally distributed team of 230+ members, championing our core values: Stay Curious, Have Empathy, Be Accountable.
What You'll Do
- Assist clients and broker partners by being the first point of contact on service needs and issues.
- Submit and process operational requests including funds distributions, cash and stock journals, account updates, and ACATs initiation.
- Research and respond to clients’ issues relating to form submissions, transfers, and other operational items.
- Interact with internal groups such as trading desk, brokerage operations, sales, solutions, customer success, engineering, and product to resolve client issues.
- Ensure new business paperwork is accurately and successfully submitted.
- Maintain a positive and resilient demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Make independent decisions within general guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- One to two years of experience in the securities industry.
- Active FINRA Series 7 license.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Experience with FINRA, Federal, and SEC regulations.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Ability to adapt to a changing business and regulatory environment.
- Enjoys challenges and taking ownership of new responsibilities.
