What You'll Do
Drive regional sales strategy for annuity products across a broad geographic area, focusing on increasing deposits and expanding assets under management. Build and sustain relationships with financial advisors through regular in-person and virtual engagement, delivering actionable insights and product updates to support their client conversations.
Identify and onboard new producing partners within independent broker dealers, banks, and credit unions. Support advisors through training sessions, webinars, and point-of-sale presentations to strengthen their investment knowledge and sales effectiveness. Lead client seminars and collaborative business reviews to deepen engagement and generate new opportunities.
Manage territory resources including marketing funds, travel budgets, and field support staff. Analyze market trends and advisor performance to shape territory plans, allocate resources efficiently, and meet or exceed annual sales targets. Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and key partner meetings to maintain visibility and thought leadership.
Requirements
- Residency within the Mid America Territory (MO, IA, KS, OK) required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of two years of experience wholesaling investment products
- Proven background in face-to-face retail sales within institutional financial environments
- Active FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam completion, plus Series 6 or 7 and Series 63 licenses
- Life and Variable contracts licenses required, or must be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Strong understanding of annuities, variable products, and investment solutions within a needs-based selling framework
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train, consult, and influence advisors at all levels
- Proven ability to manage complex territories independently, prioritize initiatives, and deliver consistent results under pressure
- Willingness and ability to travel 75–90% of the time across the region
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience wholesaling in credit union, bank, or independent broker-dealer channels
- Existing relationships within the IBD space
- Professional designations such as CPA, CFA, ChFC, or CLU are highly regarded
