TruStage is hiring a Regional Vice President - Annuities - (Mid America Territory)

Role Overview

This position leads the distribution and growth of annuity products across the Mid America Territory, focusing on independent broker dealers, banks, and credit unions. The successful candidate will drive sales performance by cultivating advisor relationships, delivering strategic insights, and supporting business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expand annuity deposits and market share by identifying and onboarding new financial advisors
  • Conduct in-person and virtual meetings to support advisor training, product education, and sales execution
  • Deliver client seminars and point-of-sale presentations to strengthen conversion and engagement
  • Provide advisors with timely, actionable strategies to grow their practices and investment knowledge
  • Collaborate with internal teams and sales associates to manage daily operations and territory planning
  • Monitor economic and market trends affecting annuity and investment product demand
  • Allocate marketing and travel resources effectively to maximize territory performance
  • Support advisors in improving sales techniques, client communication, and business development skills
  • Track and report on key metrics including sales goals, appointment volume, and seminar effectiveness
  • Advise on business challenges, analyze data, and recommend tailored solutions for advisor success

Qualifications

Candidates must reside within the territory and hold a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or equivalent experience. A minimum of two years in investment product wholesaling and direct retail sales within institutional financial settings is required.

FINRA Securities Industry Essentials, Series 6 or 7, and Series 63 licenses are mandatory. Life and Variable licenses must be obtained within 90 days if not already held. Demonstrated expertise in annuities, variable products, and needs-based selling is essential.

Strong communication, independent decision-making, and organizational skills are critical. The role demands frequent travel—75% to 90%—across Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

  • Experience wholesaling in credit union, bank, or independent broker dealer channels
  • Existing relationships within the IBD space
  • Professional designations such as CPA, CFA, ChFC, or CLU

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $58,700 to $97,900, with eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.
