As a Financial Advisor, you’ll partner with members to understand their financial objectives and deliver tailored solutions in retirement planning, income management, tax efficiency, and estate strategies. Your expertise will guide individuals in building secure financial futures while collaborating with branch teams to connect members with specialized services.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with members to assess financial goals and recommend appropriate planning strategies
- Deliver guidance on retirement, cash flow, protection, tax, and estate planning
- Collaborate with branch staff to strengthen referral networks and increase awareness of investment services
- Maintain accurate client records and follow up on financial plan implementation
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is required, along with at least two years of experience in revenue-producing financial sales roles. Candidates must hold Series 7, 66, or (63 and 65) securities licenses and a Florida Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as is the ability to work extensively with computers and telephone systems.
Preferred qualifications include professional designations such as CFP®, ChFC®, CRPC®, JD, or CPA, or active pursuit of one. Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and math skills are highly valued. Customer service experience and advanced computer literacy are also preferred.
Work Environment
This hybrid position is based in the Columbia or Charleston, SC area, with a mix of in-office and remote work. You’ll engage directly with members in a retail setting while benefiting from flexible scheduling options. The role requires extended periods of sitting, computer use, and telephone communication.
