Focus on both maintaining current business and capturing new opportunities by leveraging product knowledge and solution-based selling.
Sales Strategy & Execution
Create multi-year plans to meet sales targets by identifying emerging markets, key projects, and potential partners. Use market analysis and sales data to guide decisions, prioritize efforts, and refine approaches. Support pricing, quoting, and profitability initiatives to ensure strong financial outcomes.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor a network of third-party agent sales teams across multiple states. Set clear expectations, foster accountability, and promote professional growth. Ensure alignment with regional goals through joint customer visits, training, and consistent communication.
Customer Engagement & Technical Support
Build trusted relationships with contractors, distributors, engineers, and project stakeholders. Serve as a technical resource through product demonstrations, training sessions, and on-site support. Highlight labor efficiency and engineering advantages to influence end-user specifications.
Collaboration & Market Development
Work closely with marketing, product management, and operations teams to align field insights with product development and launch strategies. Represent the brand at trade events and industry forums to strengthen visibility and market position. Use CRM systems like Salesforce to track opportunities and share feedback across departments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent sales experience
- Minimum of 5 years in outside sales or territory management within electrical, industrial, or commercial markets
- Proven ability to work independently from a home office with regular travel (approximately 60%, including overnight trips)
- Valid driver's license and ability to access construction sites
- Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with CRM platforms and sales analytics tools
- Preference given to candidates with technical sales or value-based selling experience
