Lead and grow the sales performance of a leading medical solutions portfolio across Germany as the Regional Sales Manager and National Key Account Manager for Restorative Therapy (RT) and Pain Therapy (PT). This role is central to shaping regional strategy, managing a high-performing sales team, and advancing national account relationships to expand market reach and product adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the annual regional business plan in alignment with national and international objectives
- Set and manage sales targets for Territory Managers, ensuring alignment with broader strategic goals
- Oversee the creation and implementation of individual territory plans and monitor sales pipeline health
- Track business performance monthly, identify variances, and take corrective actions to stay on course
- Deliver accurate forecasts for regional and key account performance on monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales professionals to exceed revenue and profit targets
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key national accounts, 'Fachhandler', and clinical decision-makers
- Collaborate with Marketing, Market Access, Customer Care, and Finance to identify and act on business opportunities
- Organize and lead engaging team meetings that promote learning, collaboration, and performance excellence
- Manage regional event budgets and represent the company at industry conferences and seminars
- Strengthen product adoption by advancing medical education initiatives and facilitating Peer-to-Peer meetings
- Support national marketing strategies and contribute insights from the field to shape campaigns
- Analyze competitor activity and market trends to inform pricing and positioning strategies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of both company and competitive products
- Work closely with Market Access teams to expand reimbursement pathways and improve average selling prices
- Recognize and reward team achievements through regular communication and performance feedback
- Conduct full performance management cycles, identify training needs, and support team development
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent to build a best-in-class team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
- Fluency in both German and English
- Minimum of five years of sales or sales management experience, ideally in medical devices, pharma, biotech, or life sciences
- Proven track record in B2B sales environments, particularly within orthopedics, sports medicine, and trauma care
- Experience managing 'Fachhandler' networks as key distribution partners
- In-depth understanding of the German healthcare system, including in- and outpatient reimbursement structures
- Established network within the orthopedic and sports medicine community
- Strong leadership presence with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and sales data analytics
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment
- Hands-on approach with a focus on execution and results
