The Regional Sales Director will lead direct sales efforts in the Georgia region, focusing on identifying, qualifying, and closing sales opportunities within named accounts. This role is key to driving revenue growth and market expansion for Gigamon’s observability solutions in hybrid cloud environments.
What You'll Do
- Achieve sales budget through growth of existing accounts and development of new accounts
- Maintain a customer database and enter customer interactions into Salesforce
- Use available resources (e.g., previous sales calls, invoices, tech service cases, webinar attendees, sample requests) to develop effective sales calls
- Sell new and existing products, discover new opportunities, and secure incremental business
- Explore, identify, and communicate potential opportunities with Regional Business Managers and Product Managers
- Perform consistent and effective sales calls across the assigned territory and close new business opportunities
- Attend trade and vendor shows and meetings as required
- Provide timely communication and follow-up to customers and consistently meet customer expectations
- Provide pertinent market and competitive information to the organization
- Collaborate with Product Managers to develop short- and long-range strategies for product expansion
- Assess potential application of company products to meet customer needs and prepare detailed product specifications for development, implementation, and customization of customer solutions
- Collaborate with Product Managers on presentations, product demonstrations, and on-site customer visits
- Represent the Sales group on cross-functional teams interfacing with R&D, production, and manufacturing to develop new products or enhance existing ones
- Research and analyze territories, company markets, competition, and product mix
- Make presentations on new and existing products to current and potential customers
- Provide innovative problem-solving approaches to enhance organizational capabilities
- Use peer network to expand technical and sales capabilities and identify new sales opportunities
- Devised new approaches to problems encountered and share them with Regional Business Managers
- Apply a wide range of complex principles, theories, and concepts in the sales and networking field
- Create opportunities to enhance technical methodology or content through expansion of existing or development of new efforts
- Assist in providing training to lower-level Sales staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of direct selling experience in the Networking or Network Security space
- Proven track record of sales success, including achievements such as 'rookie of the year', President’s club membership, and consistent year-over-year attainment of quota
- Demonstrated consultative and solution selling skills to all levels within organizations
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Residency in the region with a proven track record of building relationships with local major accounts and channel partners
- Experience using Salesforce with discipline in forecasting
- Currently resides in or near the Atlanta, GA area
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Business, CIS, or a related field
- Background in sales engineering or training in CS, IT, EE

Compensation: $264,000 - $330,000 base salary + commission. Eligible for Profit Interest Units plan. Commission-based earnings included.
