AssetMark Financial Holdings, Inc. is hiring a Regional Retirement Consultant for the Central Region to lead the strategic growth of retirement plan services. This role focuses on cultivating new business by consulting with advisors on prospecting, benchmarking, and closing opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Develop deep relationships with AssetMark ensemble teams, retirement plan advisors, recordkeepers, and DCIO wholesalers.
- Create and execute strategic initiatives based on those relationships to identify business opportunities.
- Manage the entire sales lifecycle from prospecting to closing, actively seeking new client relationships.
- Engage advisors to present a scalable retirement plan business development process tailored to their market.
- Participate in final presentations to executives of small to large corporations.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing financial advisors, ensemble teams, and wholesalers.
- Provide exceptional service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Utilize a consultative approach to understand client objectives and recommend suitable retirement plan services.
- Clearly articulate the benefits and features of various retirement solutions.
- Attend and present at AssetMark and industry conferences, networking events, and seminars.
- Work closely with internal compliance, operations, and marketing teams to ensure alignment.
- Enter and analyze all interactions and pipeline data in Salesforce.
- Actively maintain and update a list of top clients and prospects weekly.
- Conduct and document a minimum of 50 meetings per month.
- Stay informed on changes in retirement plan regulations, compliance, and industry standards.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of proven experience in business development or sales within retirement plan services or financial services.
- Series 6 (or 7), 63, and 65 (or 66) licenses are required.
- In-depth understanding of 401(k)s, Cash Balance, and Non-Qualified Plans and relevant compliance regulations.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to travel up to 40% of the time.
- Legal authorization to work in the US.

- Salary: $110,000-$125,000
