BCBST BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. is hiring a Commercial Customer Service Trainee to join our team. In this remote role, you will handle customer service inquiries primarily via telephone, using Enterprise-AI approved tools to uncover opportunities for improvement and drive efficiencies.
What You'll Do
- Receive, investigate, and resolve all customer inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Handle customer service inquiries and problems via the telephone.
- Ensure all customer communication is clearly documented.
- Interact through various channels including Chat, Phone, E-mail, and TEAMS.
- Educate callers to ensure resolution is achieved on first contact.
- Pass all required testing.
- Maintain mandatory participation and attendance.
- Adhere to assigned schedules, which require flexibility due to rotations.
- Work overtime as required.
What We're Looking For
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in a customer service support role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Independent, sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- If a current employee, must meet minimum performance expectations.
- Ability to talk and type simultaneously in a clear and concise manner while interacting with customers.
