What You'll Do
Take ownership of launching and scaling a new research and development hub in Baden-Württemberg, aligning regional growth with overarching corporate goals. You will direct daily operations, ensuring projects meet performance benchmarks and contribute meaningfully to worldwide objectives.
Provide strategic technical direction in semiconductor design, chiplet integration, and advanced packaging, with a focus on applications in the automotive industry. Cultivate an environment where novel solutions emerge through collaboration and deep technical inquiry.
Lead, mentor, and grow multidisciplinary teams, fostering excellence in research execution and talent development. Serve as the primary representative of the organization to industry partners, academic institutions, and government entities, building strong regional networks.
Requirements
- PhD in engineering or a closely related field
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in fabless semiconductor design, manufacturing, or advanced R&D settings
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing a mid-sized technical site, preferably within an international framework
- Fluency in both German and English, spoken and written
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with automotive-specific chip design or sensing technologies
- Proven track record in leading German or EU-funded research initiatives from concept through delivery
- Strong awareness of current trends and emerging advancements in semiconductor and microelectronics industries
