Responsibilities
- Provide regional leadership for substation EPC and construction projects, including greenfield, brownfield, BESS, renewable, and industrial facilities
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects and programs, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and financial goals
- Lead regional pursuit, estimating, and preconstruction efforts in collaboration with estimating, engineering, and operations teams
- Develop and execute regional business strategies aligned with company growth objectives
- Manage regional budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and margin performance
- Identify and mitigate project and program risks; oversee change management strategies
- Build and maintain strong client, utility, and stakeholder relationships
- Mentor and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and regional leadership staff
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards
- Promote and model Michels Power’s safety culture across all regional operations
Requirements
- Proven leader who is reliable, self-motivated, goal-oriented, organized, and professional
- Ability to influence teams and clients across a geographically dispersed region
- Leadership and strategic oversight experience for substation construction operations
- Experience managing long-term, complex programs and strategic projects from pursuit and preconstruction through execution and closeout
- Ability to secure required resources and apply formal processes and tools to manage budgets, schedules, risk, change, safety, and quality
- Accountability for regional performance, project profitability, client satisfaction, and alignment with safety-first culture and operational standards
