Berkshire Group, a people-first real estate investment company, is hiring a Regional Facilities Manager to promote the highest efficiency and customer service across a portfolio of communities. You’ll oversee all service functions, manage budgets and vendor contracts, and work closely with property operations and construction leadership. This is a hybrid role based in the Dallas, TX area.
What You'll Do
- Monitor work orders and make-ready units to ensure completion per company policy.
- Assist in developing CapEx and service budgets and manage Turnover, CapEx Funds, and R&M Budgets.
- Negotiate, develop, and manage service and vendor contracts with direction from the VP, Property Operations.
- Ensure all life/safety contracts are executed and implemented.
- Conduct regular inspections on turns, pools, curb appeal, shops, landscaping, amenities, and mechanical rooms.
- Provide oversight of safety inspections, fire systems, and compliance.
- Identify and develop revenue-enhancing and expense-saving ROI projects with regional leadership.
- Keep informed of local, state, and municipal building requirements and landlord-tenant affairs.
- Coordinate technical training seminars and provide HVAC training as needed.
- Ensure disaster plans are current.
- Participate in hiring, developing, and mentoring service and maintenance staff, including performance feedback.
- Update training and career path programs in conjunction with the Education Department.
- Motivate, develop, and direct teams, fostering a productive, goal-oriented environment.
- Exercise initiative, problem-solving, and decision-making skills while complying with all company policies.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum ten (10) years of facilities management experience.
- Demonstrated management skills with a track record of building, mentoring, and growing teams in-person and virtually.
- Practical knowledge of all construction and remodel aspects.
- Experience in cost forecasting, budget and timeline management, and industry-standard bidding and contract systems.
- Must have experience with building/zoning codes, structural architecture, housing regulations, project management, analyzing construction plans, and multi-family renovation.
- Seven to ten years of supervisory experience.
- Aptitude for organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple priorities with critical thinking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage up to senior leadership.
- Collaborative, inclusive working style with a strong work ethic and commitment to team excellence.
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence in high-pressure situations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Proficient with technology; background with Yardi systems is preferred.
- Experience in service management for residential properties or rental operations is required.
- Must be EPA certified or obtain certification within six months of hire.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and adhere to attendance and hybrid policies.
- Ability to remain stationary 50% of the time, climb stairs and ladders frequently, and move about properties for inspections.
Nice to Have
- Seven to ten years of experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and/or pool repair techniques.
- Certification in Chlorine, Fluorine, and Carbon (CFC) for diagnosing and maintaining equipment.

You will work with the VP, Property Operations, Regional Managers, Asset Managers, and AVP Construction Services, reporting directly to the VP, Property Operations.
