What You'll Do
Provide expert-level applications engineering support for advanced overlay metrology systems, working directly with internal engineering, sales, and marketing teams as well as external customer engineers. Lead technical demonstrations both in-house and at customer sites, including competitive head-to-head evaluations, to validate system performance and support sales initiatives.
Design and execute experiments to assess tool and subcomponent capabilities, analyze data, and publish findings in applications notes and best practices. Develop and optimize process recipes to model complex optical behaviors and improve system performance. Support early-stage product validation through alpha, beta, and pilot phases, ensuring smooth transition into production environments.
Lead remote and on-site troubleshooting efforts, providing escalation support to field teams and ensuring rapid resolution of technical issues. Collaborate with algorithm and system development teams to refine next-generation tools. Create offline software tools for data analysis and feature testing, and develop training materials to transfer knowledge across the global applications network.
Requirements
- Master's or doctoral degree in Physics, Optics, Materials Science, Microelectronics, or a closely related engineering discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to technical detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and cultures
- High degree of initiative and independence, with proven teamwork capabilities
- Fluency in English and comfort working in international settings
- Willingness and ability to travel globally, exceeding 50% of the time
