About the Role
The position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment at a mining construction site in a remote northern location. Candidates must have Red Seal certification and be prepared for a rotational FIFO schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install industrial machinery and equipment
- Perform precision alignment using laser tools and measurement devices
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical systems
- Repair or replace worn or damaged components
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Follow safety protocols in high-risk environments
- Work with cranes and rigging equipment
- Collaborate with engineers and other trades
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations
- Maintain accurate service records
- Dismantle equipment for relocation or upgrades
- Support commissioning of new systems
- Adapt to changing project priorities
- Respond to equipment failures during shifts
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
