Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is looking for a Receptionist/Site Operative (m/f/d) for a unique dual-function role. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of our facilities while providing professional front-desk services, creating a well-maintained and welcoming environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
- Complete basic repairs and troubleshooting across multiple disciplines (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
- Assist with space management, including furniture assembly and office reconfigurations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including regular safety checks.
- Monitor building systems, reporting any irregularities to management.
- Escort and supervise external contractors while on site.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
- Participate in emergency response procedures as required.
- Provide a warm, professional welcome to all visitors and staff.
- Manage the visitor management system, including check-in procedures and badge issuance.
- Handle incoming calls, routing them appropriately and taking messages when necessary.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Coordinate meeting room bookings and prepare conference facilities.
- Support basic administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain the reception area in a neat, organized, and presentable condition.
- Monitor building access and security systems during reception hours.
- Support internal communications as directed by management.
- Assist with basic IT troubleshooting for meeting rooms and reception equipment.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of previous experience in facilities maintenance and/or reception roles.
- Working knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safe working practices.
- Basic technical skills across multiple disciplines (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications.
- Good problem-solving skills and a practical approach to challenges.
- Flexibility to prioritize between reception and maintenance duties.
Nice to Have
- Experience with visitor management systems.
- Relevant certifications in health and safety or technical areas.
